Understanding Declared Value Reimbursement Limits

Carriers are not liable for arbitrary claims. Under LBC terms of carriage, compensation cannot exceed the actual declared value declared on the waybill when the parcel was shipped. If a PHP 10,000 smartphone was shipped with only the basic minimum declared value of PHP 500, reimbursement is legally capped at PHP 500.
